Before I start I would like to establish the fact that I am a huge MCU fan and I have never ever read any comics of DC or Marvel. Being a fan of good movies I have always wondered what's wrong with fans and why they were urging for the Snyder cut release. I had huge expectations for the DCEU prior to the release of BvS: Dawn of Justice. But after watching it I was so disappointed with the result. While some DC fans thought that it was a great movie sticking onto the comics pretty closely, I always thought it was very weak and a rushed work to establish the DCEU. After all the drama finally when they released the Justice League completed by Joss Whedon I personally thought maybe he saved it a little bit from being a total boredom reminding me of how terrible I felt about BvS. So naturally I wanted to see what the fuss was all about this so called Snyder cut. And after watching it I stand corrected.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is something radically different from Joss Whedon's theatrical version. It's nothing short of a masterpiece. Although four hours might seem a stretch, it's brilliant story telling, direction, pacing and character development makes it a worthy watch. Even though I still think BvS was terrible, Snyder's vision for Justice League and it's sequels were in the right direction. Watching this I cannot believe the studio favoured Whedon's short theatrical version over this. This movie had a soul and some really strong story telling compared to the theatrical version. As of this moment I feel that this is by far Zack Snyder's best work. I sincerely hope the studio rehires him to complete the rest of the Justice League movies atleast to finish off the Darkseid arc.
