What a hilariously bad casting job for several of the male roles. Damon, Driver and Affleck were miscast. The setting was in France during the 100 years war, yet everyone had English accents or attempted ones. Weird. Surely, there are excellent actors who could have had French accents with the appropriate acting skills. Regardless, this just wasn't the right film for those three men.
In contrast, Jodie Comer was excellent. Harriet Comer is a jewel but had a tiny role. No, they didn't have French accents but that ship had sailed. They did, however, have the chops for this sort of movie.
Good story overall as it illustrated the issues of its day especially punctuating the vulnerability of women to mistreatment. I enjoyed the way it was organized. The three perspectives of the rape was different and interesting.
