It's a sick story line which is the key problem. Everyone is perverted by the Anna character who come in contact with her and remain that way on some level. Every character stays invested on some level. Sickening and ridiculous. Shonda needs to take a break and see if she can show she has the chops beyond the narrow "brand" she has developed. It's getting old.

What a hilariously bad casting job for several of the male roles. Damon, Driver and Affleck were miscast. The setting was in France during the 100 years war, yet everyone had English accents or attempted ones. Weird. Surely, there are excellent actors who could have had French accents with the appropriate acting skills. Regardless, this just wasn't the right film for those three men. In contrast, Jodie Comer was excellent. Harriet Comer is a jewel but had a tiny role. No, they didn't have French accents but that ship had sailed. They did, however, have the chops for this sort of movie. Good story overall as it illustrated the issues of its day especially punctuating the vulnerability of women to mistreatment. I enjoyed the way it was organized. The three perspectives of the rape was different and interesting.

The writing and acting in this show is very high caliber from everyone. What a pleasure to see actors able to demonstrate their “chops” in depth and breadth with the freedom they have in this show. More shows of this quality please. And, I hope we get many seasons of the Morning Show.
