Unfortunately, this is becoming par for the course with Disney+ shows. Echo comes in with high expectations, and then lets you down spectacularly. Only five episodes, each one is slow and weakly constructed. Moments that are supposed to be heartfelt and touching are bland and emotionless, fight scenes are poorly choreographed and predictable, and there are seemingly no real consequences at stake. If you’re like me, you’re going to watch it anyway because you don’t want to be missing a link in the long chain of Marvel properties, but when you’re done you’ll realize that you wouldn’t have missed much of anything at all.
