[Season 1, no spoilers] An ensemble cast, a genre-blended mix and a positively reviewed show often gives an illusion that Yellowjackets could be considered as a campy "Lost". With a long runtime per episode and lack of sympathy on what the present-day characters have to offer, this show felt real flat in its landing. The twists feel like they are placed for the sole reason of keeping the viewer shocked rather than having any gravitas for the characters' actions. This is a shame, the stellar cast really does give it their "all" and you want the show to retain its campiness, but this show would have worked ten years ago when the rise of the Lost era bought about a whole new genre. Unfortunately, it just doesn't sell it for me anymore.
