Misquoted Buffalo

The Coen brothers first film. Apparently, they worked Diligently To get it Made. It does get some style points. But ultimately I found it disappointing. The story is kept Too simple So that About halfway through I became Bored Because The movie had The same sort of Thing You find Now in video games Called Backtracking. Pretty much The same notes Are repeated In order to Elongate The runtime. Also The characters Are one dimensional. We don’t even see How The two Protagonists Meet Or know What the heck They do In the world To survive And make money. The movie starts With a very boring Scene In their car As they are driving In the rain. The way this movie starts Is awful And it’s awful to think That this is how The Cohen brothers Kicked off their career. With an extremely boring and bland scene.

Better than many books on writing creatively. Nice variety of Russian shorts. Chekov and Tolstoy tied for first place and but the prize is a baggy of chicklets so Chekov let’s Tolstoy enjoy them at his leisure and but Tolstoy hands them out to the kids in the neighborhood. But both have amazing stories in here. And Saunders gives out some great information that could be hard to come by otherwise. Gogol is funnier actually than his narrator. Turgenev isn’t quite as good as Tolstoy or Chekov but actually this is what causes him to succeed even perhaps uhm unintentionally writing an entire story that justifies his technically substandard writing (One of the best in this book besides the other ones). See, a story is one blown bubble.

A masterpiece doesn’t need to be perfect. And Final Fantasy XV is a masterpiece that isn’t perfect. I’ve been playing it on my pc. I’m about 25 hours into it. Each time I play something new amazes me. The beautiful characters, the beautiful world, the beautiful story. Then there is the sublime such as destroyed vistas and giant artifacts and sky scraper sized monsters. This game is in my top five best games ever made tied with Final Fantasy 7 Remake. But Final Fantasy XV is criminally underrated and didn’t get the acknowledgment it deserve for the experience it creates using the gaming medium.

At the end of the day, Prey takes my top spot of favorite game on the PlayStation 4 system. It's a game made by the very best developers in the industry. The survival horror aspects are top notch, the scares are aplenty; one jump scare in particular scared the living poop out of me. The evolution system is extremely effective, powers are varied, weapons are varied. The physics feel...good. like they do in half life, giving the games environment a feeling of gravity and authenticity that you only see in the creme of la crop games, usually in the past, made exclusively by Valve, as if Valve was like Pixar in the animated film arena. Note: I mention valve only because I compare this game to the best of their games; Prey is made by developers at Bethesda. I love this game like a kid loves a teddy bear.

This is probably my favorite PlayStation exclusive title. I like it more than God of War. This is a five star game through and through. Several aspects of the game are stellar. Mainly, the setting, the story, and the characters. But of course there has to be icing on the cake, right? Our protagonist's motorcycle is not only the finest bike in gaming but also a cultural icon at this point in time. Add to this, hordes of zombies the likes of which you have never seen...think of an avalanche...and you have, in my humble opinion, the best PS4 exclusive game.

Go with the flow. That is how I like to play this game. I just get lost in it. A sense of wonder actually directs you to some interesting places in this game. I like to record in little notebook everything I did, or that happened to me, during one gaming session. What I'd like to do is use said notebook for an outline for a short story I want to write. It won't be plagiarism because I'll write an introduction about how its inspired by Rockstar's game. So when I play this game I don't play it to beat it. I play it with an attitude of wonder and curiosity about what is going to happen. Almost like I'm vividly dreaming. One of those dreams where you feel like you have some control. Something needs to be said about how this game looks. It's the finest looking game I've ever seen. Especially the scenery. The only other game that might be a little bit prettier is Uncharted 4, which took visuals to a new place with some truly exceptional and excellent settings. It showed off, simply put. And Red Dead doesn't really show off. It's all incorporated nicely and woven together and feels like a meticulously crafted gaming world experience. From wow moments to subtle moments and everything in between this is a game that most likely won't be beat. You feel as if you are playing gaming perfection.

I'm going all five on this one. It isn't neccessary perfect but its bold and beautiful and exciting. The story takes off fairly quickly and engages you in a meaningful way. The train sequence is amazing. Best one since Uncharted 2. The open Russian landscapes look and feel authentic. There's an aspect of quality to this entire game that's unrivaled. The look and feel of it are authentic as if it were painted with oil paints and pastels. Can't remember when firing an gun looked and felt so good. When you shoot an enemy up close you get that misty blood splatter that's very satisfying. I should mention I'm only about 20% into the story but I plan on completing the game 100%.
