Overall, I thought this was a pretty interesting horror movie. If you're looking for a masterpiece of a horror movie, this isn't it. It has its very glaring shortcomings, but I enjoyed it for what it was.
Four criminals break into a house to find a tape they were tipped off on, with the intent to sell it for a big sum of money. What they found instead is a creepy house filled with a bunch of TVs and tapes. They play five of these tapes. The tapes are each a short horror movie, about 20 minutes each, with their own self-contained stories, and they are the main focus of the movie. If that concept sounds interesting, you'll probably find this movie to be worth a watch. It definitely delivers on this concept in an interesting way, even if the shorts range from being pretty good to meh.
The shorts vary in quality, some being really genuinely frightening, others being silly and campy in a charming sort of way, and others being a bit boring. But the ones that I did enjoy, I enjoyed a lot. And I appreciate that with their length of about 20 minutes each, none of them really overstayed their welcome. They got in, did their scares, and got out. So if this sounds interesting to you, and you don't mind nudity and gore (especially when the gore special effects are pretty cheesy and silly), check it out. It's fun, at least.
The first and fifth shorts are my personal favorites!
