This may be an accurate depiction of how corrupt our politicians are (among other character and moral flaws). It may be an accurate depiction of how ridiculous our singers, talk show hosts and other celebrities only care about fame, ratings, and revenue. It may also be an accurate depiction of how media influences the world's population to serve its agenda across every imaginable topic and platform. I enjoy that the movie exposes all of this and more, however, a little far fetched. If the "based on a true story" movie would have portrayed actual characters with relevant current events, exposing all the aforementioned while driving these same points home, I think viewers would easily identify this as being the world we live in. Unfortunately, most will walk away saying, "that was a goofy movie", and will not really understand the writer's reveal.
