I see what the producers are trying to do here - create a more character driven story of an alien invasion. Certainly a worthwhile endeavor, but they have done it at the expense of pace. Invasion moves so very slowly that one cannot resist hitting skip-forward many, many times to either move the story along or jump past very dull characters. The actual invasion takes a backseat to all this which does little more than weaken the story and build personalities that are uninteresting at best. I should mention that what little sci-fi is actually included is imaginative, well done, and for the most part wasted. The ending of course leaves Invasion open for a second season and I hope that the producers tune the effort up a bit (or a lot) to improve pace. Otherwise, we are in for another slow, mind-numbing excursion into the minds of really disconnected characters.
