This film is the film we should have had twenty years ago. It’s the rightful continuation of the story and will bring many a Matrix fan back to the fold, after the gut-wrenching third instalment. I loved the tributes and in joke references to the first three films and was rooting for Neo and Trinity to finally make it. I would have liked to see more “payback” from them at the end, but the love story comes over strongly, which is one of the best things about the first, and best in the original trilogy. Bringing that flavour back, works. SFX are now standard, you’re not going to see anything you’ve not seen before, but go and see this if you want to right the wrongs of the past.
