It’s mediocrity at its finest. A well designed but exceedingly safe game made for the casual gamer. There is no real challenge here and nothing of serious spectacle, if you never play this game you’re not missing out on anything. Go play Elden Ring and it’s DLC if want to experience good souls combat. You can skip this game and never worry about missing out on something great but on the other hand lots of people will enjoy themselves playing Flintlock. My recommendation is take it or leave it, there’s nothing special here.

Its broken and incomplete. I want to love this game, there is so much about it that is good but the current state we find CP2077 in is unacceptable. They over promised and under delivered and released a broken mess. Even with the most up to date hotfixes, CDPR failed to release what was promised. Buy this game at your own risk right now, your best bet is to wait a few months amd see if they actually make good and give an actual game.

Dark Souls meets Castlevania: Symphony of Night and it works very well. Initial play through took me roughly 8 (if we don’t include all the time spent respwaning and going through already finished areas), there is a lot of content here and the art style really helps to bring the story and world to life. Playing Blasphemous really brings me back to a time in my childhood, the production choices really seem to capture that ‘old school’ vibe and the sense of nostalgia is heart warming. Blasphemous is an amazing game and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys pixel art and a challenge.
