This is a good show but there’s too much of a focus on the American teams. Most of the episodes are recaps of the Americans’ situations or backstory and it can get a little frustrating. (Spoiler.) The Canadian team held their place in second for a good majority of the race and finished only 30 minutes behind New Zealand yet they got barely any screen time. Some near the end (honestly just to show how far ahead New Zealand was) but otherwise not much. And they only reviewed the team leader. Then there’s some teams that don’t get any screen time. 66 teams, and we heard about maybe ten. Take the Japan team for example. When they needed medical aid my boyfriend had looked and he and said “who are these guys?” That shouldn’t be a question that had to have been asked in the eighth episode of the season. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next season.
