Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the famed game Red Dead Redemption, however instead of playing from the perspective of John Marston from the first game, you take the role of an entirely new character in Marston's old gang, one Arthur Morgan. From here on out the game will be referred to in shorthand: RDR2. RDR2 takes place just near the final years of the classic Wild West lifestyle. Due to this issue of industrialization catching up with their way of life, preceding the beginning events in game the Van Der Lin gang, the one that Arthur and Morgan are both a part of, decide to do one last heist in a small town known as Blackwater. However, this heist goes horribly wrong which causes the gang to flee high into the mountains during a truly devastating snowstorm in order to evade the authorities chasing after them which serve as the main antagonists for much of the story, The Pinkertons. Just this small introduction of how the game starts serves to show how truly rich and detailed the story of RDR2 is and is quite the hook for anyone, whether they are new games or veterans since the Atari. Now onto some of the games strongest selling points.
