WW 1984 was hot garbage. Some spoilers.
I still think the original Patty Jenkins WW is the best of the current DC universe movies so I'm still a little shocked having just left the cinema, that this was helmed by the same person.
Appreciating comic book movies ask you to suspend belief, but this was simply egregious. The script felt like it was written by children. Action after action, scene after scene very little made any sense.
Example: stealing a fighter jet to fly to Cairo from DC is as simple as going out the back of the Smithsonian and taking off. Flown by Steve, who has no comprehension of modern aircraft. To make an intercontinental flight. On a single tank, which we assume was at least full.
If you want to make a movie, even a comic book movie, that has some kind of logical narrative to follow, don't make it about granting wishes. It's an awful premise and this is what you end up with.
The final scenes are unbearably cheesy, drawn out and just as non-sensical.
I found no redeeming features other than Gal Gadot. I wish I could get my money back.
