The game gets worse and worse every year and there are 2 key reasons behind this. The first is neglect. A company that is obsessed with milking its fanbase with fake currency in what is essentially a pay to win method exploited on children is EA Sports main goal. Do they care about the gameplay? Not at all. But if the bank of mommy and daddy can provide a child a chance of getting an overpowered special edition player that they seemingly release daily, EA are all over that. Secondly is the people of make the game simply don’t understand the game they are making. The mechanics are shocking, the realism of challenges, goalkeepers, how a ball moves, even what a stadium feels and sounds like. It’s so out of touch and Americanised. Defenders not jumping for a header, it’s always 1v1 in headers despite many situations it should be 2v1. The refs are realistic to the premier league that they are so so bad. Clean slide tackles deemed as fouls, players off the ball running into an another player, foul. Players getting up from a challenge in motion tripping up an opponent, foul. Dont get me started on the ball control and the individual game modes. Anyways my advice, avoid. And if there are any willing developers out there, now is the time to create a new football game, because this is your only competition and it really won’t take much to beat it. 0/10
