Up to ep3. After the betrayal of Disney to SW (except for rogue one) I'm pleasantly surprised to say I'm loving it so far. Slow build up but it gives it chance to prove it's faithfulness to SW. Even details like Vader fighting one handed when he's playing with his opponent as per Luke in ESB. Also I like how kenobi is not just in hiding but is a genuinely broken beaten weak man who has forgotten what he was or is. The kid who plays Leia is stealing the show though, unlike Jake Lloyd. Rare that kids actually work in a pretty tense show. Ok so plot holes like meeting Leia or kenobi being a bit too broken and that the original trilogy implied kenobi and Yoda survived by remaining anonymous but you wouldn't create much of a story around that.

Wow. This was dull. Looked like more thinly veiled anti-white propaganda from the BBC to me. Arrogant colonialism punishment from god? Yeaaah. Slow. Mishmashed. Unconvincing pretty unintelligent Martians (how did they build technology which 3 needle-like limbs and no apparent ability to grasp anyway?) that can have their weapons of war taken down by 1900's battleships. Flashforwards didn't work either. It removed any heightened tensions, impending doom and desperate flee for survival the story is supposed to bring. Characters were shallow and unconvincing too. Very unfaithful. Watch Spielberg's version. See what a seasoned visionary can do.
