I am a fan of Zack, loved DotD, MoS, BvS and JL. so I watched Army of the dead with high expectations. I have to say it disappoints on every level. There is no character build up whatsoever. the characters are passive, couldn't connect to any of them. the story, well in DotD it was about discovery and survival, where as here there is no point to it. the story doesn't relate to DotD in anyway. I thought it would be a prequel or sequel. There are plot wholes from beginning to end. The only positive things about this movie are the scenes of LA from above. The worst part of the movie where the zombies. i mean if I want smart zombies, then I'd watch a vampire movie. zombies are supposed to be moving by basic instinct and nothing else in hordes. finally, I wish this movie was never made, it is a black dot on Snyder's career.
