NON SPOILER REVIEW: So I liked this book way more than the first one. This book starts where the first one ended but instead of focusing on Harper and Rhen it’s Greys story which I was excited for because I loved grey! I thought the new characters were great! I know some people didn’t care for them or felt rhen was portrayed in a certain way that they didn’t like but In my opinion I thought it all made sense at the end of the story (literally last chapter.) I couldn’t put this book down I read it in 2 days and I’m wanting the 3rd book now! It does end in a bit of a cliff hanger as well so be ready. But definitely a good read I felt like there was more romance in this book than the last one and it was so sweet! <3 definitely one of my favorites so far.

So I have been in a reading slump and in need of a good fantasy and romance book and this book did the deed! I am so upset that I’ve finished it as quickly as I have! This book was good from page one and with every chapter gets better and better. This book has a great angsty romance where you just want them together so bad, and there is a bit of mystery in there as well trying to find out who’s behind the plot of the murders of the kings parents was amazing (and boy was it a shocker!) I love this book. It is going down as one of my favorites on my bookshelf. I loved the characters and I just felt like they were so real, I got to know them better and better with each chapter. Tricia levenseller is a wonderful author and I will be reading more of her books she knows how to keep you invested in the book and reading till you can’t anymore. I definitely recommend this book to people who love romance, some mystery, and a bit of fantasy it is to die for. Lovely book 5/5 for sure.
