I think that the babysitter did all the disturbing things to the children to see who could handled it and who couldn’t, to them know which child would be her next “cubby”? The youngest fed the hamster to the snake. The youngest sat watching his parents sex video. He was resourceful with getting the blue drink from the top cupboard. He said “best babysitter “ The man who crashed into their taxi was the partner of Emelie and he had the real babysitter in his boot. I was confused what had happened to Emelie’s actual Cubby but think I was concentrating at the time she read the story. She survived at the end as you see her running away. She did stay in the house a long time and I don’t know why the eldest child didn’t call 911. And I don’t understand how they chose this particular family to target? It was very good though and had me gripped. Poor children will be scarred for life though!

Excellent film. So very sad though. It shows you what having dementia would be like as it is from Anthony Hopkins (the father) point of view.
