I thought this was a brilliant film. It had you hooked and was completely mesmerising. I am Catholic and know the process of selecting a new pope but the ending was mind blowing. Divine intervention I think! Performances by all the cast were excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

There were only 3 of us in the cinema which explains the popularity of this film! One of us fell asleep. Totally bizarre and strange film. Bewildered was my reaction when leaving the cinema. Ridiculous story. I live in North Yorkshire where this film was made and the film did nothing to show off the beautiful landscape. The money could've gone towards making something better. The most scariest thing was the background music and other sound effects.

The first two episodes were very promising but then it decended into total silliness. I haven't a clue what language they were speaking regarding computers. The series should've been four episodes then we wouldn't have had to put up with all the waffling in between.

The only good bits about this film was the 1930's music, the music by Craig Armstrong and the actor Mark Strong. I thought the dialogue from Ian McKellan was terrible. It sounded like he was talking through an old sock! The story line was quite muddled at first and whilst the ending was very sad, it was only the fine acting and clear voice from Mark Strong that added any substance to this film.

I loved this unusual and darkly comic film. There are some beautiful shots of remote Iceland and as it's all in black and white it adds to the isolation and atmosphere of the place.

A wonderful and inspirational true story of how an Italian nun and her sisters changed the face of New York in the 19th century to care for immigrants, orphans and sick people. She was up against male authority figures throughout but achieved the end goal with her intelligence, perseverance and determination. Definitely recommend this film.

Wish I'd never paid to go and see this rubbish. Way over the top with strong language that I doubt was used as much back in the 1920's. The language became a distraction from the story line. I wonder if this film was made for younger people today who may use a lot of strong language but can't take an actual historical story without it?

The film focused on the harrowing sounds of the death camp while the evil Nazi Hoss and his family lived a "normal" ordinary life in the house next to it separated by a high wall. The sound was there all the time. Sickening to see his wife enjoying a fur coat and lipstick that once belonged to a Jewish woman in the camp. Any film that tells the story of the horror and brutality of the Holocaust serves as a reminder of man's inhumanity to other human beings in this world.

A superficial and lack lustre film about a group of Irish women going to Lourdes in the hope of a miracle for each of their issues. It had no real depth of emotion or feeling of spirituality for me. As a Catholic and having been to Lourdes myself I found the whole experience very special but this film fails to portray the deep beauty of the place and it left me lotally flat and uninspired.

What else can you say with Glenda Jackson and Michael Caine in the lead roles? I loved this film, it was so poignant and and moving. A stark reminder of the horror experienced by such young soldiers in Normandy on D Day 1944. I also liked the presence of elderly German soldiers who went to commemerate their dead. The insane waste of war. It moved me to tears and not many films do that.
