I unironically love the Despicable Me franchise. Sure, the minions are pretty annoying, especially when they're the only characters on screen, but Gru, Vector, Dr. Nefario, the gorls, and any other prominent characters in this movie, are surprisingly great. The story flows very well, and is actually pretty dang funny. (probably just because of the memes) Though the other movies in the series may not be as good as this one, (cough cough, Minions, cough cough) I think this and Despicable Me 2 are the best movies that Illumination have ever made. Not even the Super Mario Movie beats this in my eyes, and this is coming from a huge Mario fanatic.
