Excellent game...had 3 in last 3 weeks -in the open air and social distancing etc as we crawl out of lockdown. Tactically very rich and gives a good game.We went to the knife edge last night-the Saxons won by 1 point against the Vikings (we both had managed to grab loot but the Viking band breakpoint was reached first) .It's a very flexible system;well written rules and well presented.Lots of scope for imaginative scenarios.Looks as if Karl's about to get back on top of it as it needs momentum to get it underway again and expanded (only reason why it doesn't get 5 stars).If you look at the Website you'll see there's a number of things coming to fruition-hopefully-no pressure Karl! Best skirmish/small warband game I've come across .For more traditional gamers like myself it challenges you to use your imagination.There's a really good forum-with lots of material-but presently the forum is a bit inert.
