This movie took forever to get started , then sprints for about 20 minutes before crawling the rest of the way . It feels too long. And the length combined with the large portions of inactivity make it feel even worse. The acting by Lupita was good , all things considered. This is a perfect example of a good acting with bad writing/directing . The cinematography was good too but at times it felt forced and pretentious. Like the scene when lupita is monologuing into the window and all we see is her blurry (probably CGI) reflection on the glass. The shot went on for what felt 5 minutes and she didn't even turn around. Sonically, the movie is just hack . From the random sounds that baddies make and somehow understand to the 10 minute rendition of "I've got five on it" on just a cello and bells to the beach boys playing during all those killings . Things you've heard done better before . completely unoriginal. The whole thing felt like a really long season 3 key and Peele sketch ... If that's what's your into , that's on you .

I'm not sure what this movie is trying to do. Who are you meant to root for here? There are many films with flawed protagonists or anti heroes, but this isn't that. It's just a movie about some woman who spends most of the movie basically asking for a beating and vaping the entire movie. The first few minutes made me think that the main character was supposed to be good person who does work that people don't appreciate, like a process server or a teacher in Florida... But no. Shes genuinely a terrible person. As the movie goes on, I just started disliking her more and more. I really only kept watching to see her get her comeuppance... But she doesn't . Not until the very end anyway, and by then it just doesn't feel like it was enough. I think another review put it best with "First you hate the main character, then you hate all the characters, and by the end you just hate the movie entirely."
