The film has stunning visuals but fails to deliver as a whole. The family saga is tepid and predictable. It fails to capture the mutable essence of collective on Pandora. The patriarchal figure monotonously repeats the heteronormative notions of fatherhood on a way of live that could have something far richer to offer. Even the most spiritual and profound parts such as learning the way of water seems like a Marvel spin on spirituality. The film is at best performative.
