For someone who has watched the original manichitrathazhu which like most malayalam movies is realistic , this movie was made to suit the fans of rajnikanth alone .coz im pretty sure tamil audience accepts realistic subjects too.if nly it stuck to the original script. . Or rather almost close to original it would have been enjoyable. For those havent watched the original this might suit them. The character mohanlal played felt like a normal human doctor., Shobana was subtle ( and per me a lot if credit goes to the dubbing artist to bring out thr emtiins too) Wheares the tamil it was over the top n rajinis character is not human " It was unbelievable and not convincing "....like seriously,he flies to drop the cup held by prabhu??🙄 its time to accept characters as characters

Easily one of the best comedy movies in malayalam. It's so classic that the story still prevails in the modern times and you never get bored how many ever times you rewatch it. The combination of harisree ashokan and Cochin haneefa is evergreen and their scenes will be prevailing even in times to come. "Mothalali' and " Ramanan" Rockss

The saddest part of us as audience is that we only understand the beauty of the movie after ages. Such movie is this. It needs more attention
