The film simply can't escape the silly premise upon which it is built.
It feels every bit like the boardroom " How do we cash in on The Omen" conversations it clearly was.
One of those rare prequels that is not only bad, it is so bad it negatively effect ls the film it is setting up.
Slow and painfully predictable and just never really goes anywhere.
One star for atmosphere but even that is strangled by shoddy pacing and clumsy attempts at misdirection.
They didn't even have the courage to do what the story demanded of the main character.
Don't waste your time on it.
