The movie was personally not enjoyable. Most of the casted characters weren’t fitted for the role. To make a remake version of a folk tale story I would expect to see similarities in both the movie and the story.The whole movie was flipped into a different perspective, which was not enjoyable. The little Mermaid is one of the best Disney movies out there and when the big news of a human version of the movie was coming out I was so excited. When I was able to go see the movie, I was in shock, nothing like the animation version. It really triggered me with how they played Eric’s role in the movie. To be adopted ? To be found in a ship reck ?, yea no it doesn’t sit well with me. Same with skuttle, don’t get me wrong I love Awkwafina but it would make more sense to keep same gender. In all the movie not it, i would love to see a remake of Princess and the Frog or Tangled. I just hope it’s better and more planned out.
