The 'ironborn' were real. enough in 14th century England, when 5 coastal towns were 'licensed' to rob and reeve' by The King. Despite French protests they seized shipping and sank all comers.This went on for more than a century using those same kind of ships, so well recreated in Game of Thrones and which are central in our medieval Town Logo.
