Watching this felt so dystopian lol. It was really hard not to think about how much regular people are struggling more than ever right now and how shielded the ultra wealthy are from everything. Like having an entire grocery store in your house, having a doctor on speed dial that makes house calls...it all just felt like a gut punch. Especially given that they earn their money by abusing their underpaid employees, have endorsed & used sweatshops, and engaged in wage theft and other bad business practices. The way they hoard their wealth is way beyond greed and apathy at this point. I'm certain their core demographic will eat this up, as it does an *okay* job of painting this picture that they're "just people at the end of the day, just like you!" Ultimately it feels to me like this show constantly works SO hard for your empathy but falls short every time. Nothing they do is genuine or just for the sake of doing a good deed and that's the clearest message of the show. We all know it's just a big ad to get you to buy into their branded products, but they're not even trying to hide it anymore.
PS They also completely blatantly disregarded astroworld. Pretty foul
