Lol the whitest person with the biggest afro, raised in a white suburban community whilst looking white his whole life (look up his childhood photos, nobody will say, "Look at that black kid", he looks like a tan white kid). I watched this out of curiosity and boredom and it is terribly written, and there is no way this was his life growing up as a white kid with some black genes. This is like an irish guy in a demin tuxedo and a mullet claiming he is 1/73rd Cherokee talking about the plight of his people and how he suffered so much discrimination as 1/73rd Cherokee (wears a dreamcatcher earring with a feather).

Excellent show, doesn't follow quite the same storyline as the anime but you can do a lot more in animation than you can do in live action. I am not sure which came first however it is still well done.
