Sorry, we found this series extremely cringy and laughable.
While Lachey did have a strong character, and was an appropriately intelligent and resilient leader, the team falls flat of chemistry and skills.
Not sure why the NCIS producers wanted this series to be so over-the-top with its female characters, but the fact that in almost every episode, the male characters and agents are getting beaten up and outsmarted, while the female ones are always the heroes and smartest people in the room.
To top it off, they are trying even harder with the girl-girl theme, with the two-woman romance, which involves two characters who come across as pathetic and needy. Granted, relationships are hard no matter the two people involved are, but there is no obvious attraction between them, and the intimacy scenes are, as others have described, passable and cringe-worthy.
We stopped watching around the second season as the character development only reinforced our initial impressions of what this series is desperately trying but failing to do. No thanks.
