Overall an impressive show with lots of applaudable aspects to it and has clearly been given lots of effort. However, there are some things that I wasn’t happy with. Some of the places, costumes and genres didn’t particularly fit into George Lucas’s original theme of Star Wars, felt like they took this show in a different direction and the first scene just screams Blade Runner. Also, the story took some time to pick up and jumped from two very big different plot points very quickly, andor pulling off the raid and killing one of the crew to him suddenly in jail for a complete different reason. But, only some negatives in the sea of positives. The writing (script) is admirable and the acting is fantastic, realistic and takes you to the place of thought that the character is. The story gives logical reasoning and explains for important details about that time in the Star Wars trilogy’s eg: how the empire gained more and more power through use of slavery, how the rebels slowly grew into the alliance that they were in the three original movies and how the empire effected the individual citizens in Star Wars. The way the rebellion is presented in this show is in a more gritty and rough way which I do think destroys the principles of other Star Wars show and movies eg: New hope, empire strikes back, return of the Jedi, obi wan kenobi and Rogue One. And that is personally another reason why I am not giving a five star but I do also see how that is a more realistic way to show the motivation which does make the show a lot less cringey, but I still didn’t like that way of showing the Rebellion, they could have done the Rebels just a bit less evil. When I was watching it though, I did feel a bit of lack of excitement in the plot, but as I saw more and more I did start to get that thrill from the progressing story and in the end it was beyond the thrill I had ever hoped for. The overall cringe level would be a great 0/10 and the whole thing, is a realistic, very well made show. I would say, go ahead and do watch it. Watching it is an excellent and exciting experience. However I would prefer if they when for a more Star Wars genre for future seasons or shows with small things, like music, (but the main theme is fabulous) props, setting and costumes. But, script, writing and acting of this show are amazing, and I would love for more of that non-cringe in Star Wars.

Poorly executed and time wasting Firstly I just want to say that I believe that Dave filoni is an excellent director, he has done great shows for Star Wars, but everyone makes mistakes and this is the big one. My expectations for Ahsoka were low, and yet I was still highly underwhelmed by it. The first thing that disappointed me was the acting. Ahsoka spoke at the pace of a dead man, l mean the only words she said in the first episode were “yes” “no” and “ maybe”. And conversations between the main characters were just them slowly walking, saying about one word per minute and exchanging the same look, and that doesn’t change throughout the whole show. And the story doesn’t really have any depth or anything to get excited over. So really nothing much happened and what does happen is completely ridiculous, unrealistic and sometimes is just completely irrelevant. When I was watching the mandalorian season 2 and book of boba fett (which by the way are amazing) I thought they were really making something good as the Ahsoka series, but I have never been so wrong in my life. They could have made it more realistic, engaging and interesting and maybe given a logical reason for why thrawn shows up with a whole star destroyer filled with stormtroopers, which is also a big mistake that they made in the rise of skywalker. BUT I GUESS THEY’LL JUST KEEP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN AND AGAIN And the new character Bailen didn’t interest me at all considering how they only explain about 10% of what he was trying to do, the only character that interested me was Marrok but they literally had him just disappear in a puff of smoke with nobody even mentioning it again and NO EXPLANATION FOR WHY THAT HAPPENED, SERIOUSLY By the time I was halfway through I knew there was no chance the show could get even the slightest bit good and each time I saw a new episode felt like the story had a hard hit of amnesia, forgetting about all the new plots from the previous episodes eg; empire supporters working for the new republic, Marrok just disappearing with no explanation. The writing is terrible, especially the script for the witches, it was to cringe, lifeless, no real emotion in the way it was said, felt like I was watching a show for 4 year olds, and the level of cringe for the whole show would be a straight 10/10. Oh, and episode 5, trust me, if you’re on episode 4, just quit when you’re ahead, worst episode of the whole show; anikan and ahsoka jumping through time, anikan switching between himself and Darth Vader for no reason at all for why he was switching or even there, talking to some kinda space wale and putting their ship in the mouth of the wale and just letting it go, WHAT THE HELL! The ending really shows you how bad the whole thing is, I MEAN SERIOUSLY, It was just a bunch of bad actors being chased by zombie-stormtroopers trying to get to thrawn. And thrawn, just some blue guy one sweet bun away from the next size up. And when you’ve seen the whole thing you realise that it’s just a bunch of people running around in colourful costumes with funny props. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, DON’T WATCH THIS Dave filoni’s big mistake.
