Lots of plate spinning to keep things running. But so much of the breeding mechanic is truly RNG luck. I can't manage to leave the starter island because I can't ever get the last bee to be produced. The aesthetic is nice (when there aren't graphical glitches on the Switch version), and the game play is pretty good. My two main gripes are these:
- RNG Luck. You can maximize your odds, but at the end of the day it takes so much work to maximize those odds that it's not even fun.
- Crafting. On the Switch, you have to use the right thumb stick to manually saw wood by going back and forth and hitting the exact ends of the bar. At first it's a fun gimmick, but the novelty wears off really quick. The upgraded machines don't solve the problem much.
