Dolly was always slightly saccharine, but she always had a truth in her music, an emotion. At her time of life, she could have sung some really beautiful, meaningful covers and even rehashed 'I will always love you'. She had an opportunity to sing with hindsight. But Rockstar has just amplified the falsehood. It's covers that don't really suit Dolly, and that's a shame as I'm a huge Dolly fan.
