Well...... Was expecting a bit of a new downtown.... nope. Amazing series, not expected but loved every moment. Sexy and scandalous. I was feeling gossip girl for the 19 century. Someone said about the racial aspect... to be real, I was too invested in the story to even notice until it was pointed out and became somewhat sort of the plot. The story of the families is good, Costumes and music brilliant. I haven’t read book, but I think I will give it a go.
