I wanted to like it. There was potential. My issue was with the implausible stacking of events ranging from extraordinary to absurd.
Good writing introduces something wild, implausible, or interesting and writes around that thing. This series just kept flinging them on top of one another until my desire to maintain my suspended disbelief caved.
The same problem also presented itself in characters that felt written and not genuine.
It does manage to create suspense and layers. You’ll probably like it if you like things that keep you guessing and maintain constant “reveals” without being too critical. It does that quite well.
It also jars me out of the story and reminds me I’m watching the show with non-human characters and nonsensical situations. Hence the two stars. I made it an episode and a half.
