I read the book and had high hopes for this movie. I almost walked out 30 minutes in. This portrayal was dark, depressing and skipped out on any happy moments between Elvis and Priscilla with the exception of some bumper cars and going to the movies. If I wasn’t a big fan of Elvis and simply watched this movie, I would be left wondering what kept these two together! They skipped out on SO MUCH. There were no moments at the circle g ranch, Priscilla visiting on set for his movies, their vacations to Hawaii, her affair with Mike Stone (showed them together at a karate lesson and eating with friends) but did not allude that they were together. The end was SO rushed and terrible!!! The soundtrack was a joke and I now understand why Elvis Presley Enterprises did not want his music in this film. I feel sorry for Elvis that this trash movie is even out there. If Priscilla really loved him, I can’t see how she put this out there in this format. Honestly, the 80s film version of her book was a lot better. Don’t waste your time or money on this one.
