I watched the series from the very beginning when it premiered and after years of the original relationship of Jack and Elizabeth, its just hard to top. Neither of the new suitors have the chemistry she had with Daniel Lissing who played Jack. The very fact that they have substituted Jack with another mountie as a suitor (in her 4th love triangle of the series) is just lame and should be a red flag to everyone that after they get done dragging this out a bit longer, it's obvious who she's going to pick. Unfortunately the show is very predictable and clearly they can't stretch much in their storytelling, but I digress. If you're going to give her a new romance you have to make it better than the original, it will always be compared. Unfortunately, what they had was TV magic and hard to top. I liken it to going on a trip to Disney World for 5 years/seasons, but now its just a trip to the local carnival...good enough for a Sunday night, but not Disney World. All my opinion of course, but if fans were so thrilled, there wouldn't be so many fans on social media still hoping for Jack to return 2 years/seasons later.
