Linear Algebra Done Right deserves its title. Axler starts from the foundation, assuming nothing but a desire to learn mathematics. The book is clean, understandable, and a joy to read.
I used it last year to self-study theoretical Linear Algebra in conjunction with the problems sets from MIT 18.700. The problem sets helped to supplement the exercises from the book, although there are many included already in the book.
On the whole, I couldn't give the book a higher recommendation. It's a wonderful book for a second course in Linear Algebra, and if you've seen a little Linear Algebra already and are very motivated to succeed, the book could work as a rigorous introduction as well.
(Axler also has over fifty videos to accompany the books, which you can find on his website.)
