Great acting. The music on its own was very good but in the whole series it was so over-the-top melodramatic that we skipped through all those scenes. It started off with a great premise but very quickly became very contrived and unrealistic. A case in point was Faith falling in love over 7 days with Baldini just because he was repaying the favor of her husband helping him when anyone that’s ever experienced a crisis like Faith is going through would take at least months or more (if not years) to be even remotely interested in a sexual attraction while her husband’s fate is so wildly up in the air.
Another issue is why her husband shows up in the last episode as if nothing has happened but yet leaves Faith, her kids and his parents in sheer terror for a whole week when he could have (and should have) at least let them know he was alive.
Another is the “head-butting” scene in the same episode.
Another unbelievable sequence was the start of Series 2 when Faith is now doing the same stupid things that Evan was doing for the gang.
Do they both want to lose their law licenses and go to jail and lose their kids?
Season 2 was so disappointing that my wife and I both (after episode 2 ) decided to skip to the last episode to “get it over with” and skip all the emotional jerking around we were getting. We’re glad we did because the final scene made just about as much sense; Faith telling Baldini that she needed space for awhile with no exit kisses, etc. but yet she’s in love with him. All she was telling Baldini was that what she really wanted was a Season 3.
Tom’s emotional hang ups with Faith’s best friend were hard to believe. At his age, and for being as smart as he supposedly is, he’s extremely lucky she would even give him the time of day much less sleep with him.
It seems that all these soap operas and series have to get weirder and weirder to interest people. We won’t be watching it...
