Watch it - you might like it. I can't say I did. It was a hard movie to watch as there was no one in it that you didn't feel was deeply flawed, and no one that was entirely likeable. If you enjoy those movies, you will love this one. There is a surprise ending, but I felt that the "convenient coincidences" that led to the conclusion were too much to consider this a "tight plot" as some suggest. And despite the raves I've heard about the soundtrack, I felt it was entirely smothering. There never seemed a scene without some discordant combination of chords playing behind it. Obviously it was a choice, but i think the wrong one. Part of the impact of a great soundtrack is when it doesn't play, and there's little room to breathe in this film. The scenery was great - open and dramatic and re-emphasizing the beautiful untouched parts of New Zealand (not Montana). I give this 1 star in part to get your attention. I'd probably normally give it a 3.
