I generally love Power and Politics, but on their coverage of the genocide in Gaza, and now the widening of the conflict to Lebanon.....I'm saddened and afraid. I don't want to hear the Israeli ambassador blame Iran for Hezbollah's rockets going into Israel.....and I'm not sure I want Canadians who watch the CBC to be told to accept western designations of who is a terrorist and who has a right to defend themselves. Iddo Moed claimed today that Israel was the homeland of the Jewish people. I think the Palestinians think it is their homeland as well...since they never left, unlike modern day returning Jews. And those indigenous people don't have the right to defend themselves......or resist occupation/imprisonment in a small part of their traditional homeland...because if they do resist....they are terrorists and so beyond international law. I'm sick of the biased coverage. Sick of the stupid implication that the struggle in Palestine began on Oct 7, 2023, and sick of the way we treat Netenyahoo's genocidal troops with respect, but consign the people who resist to a label of western devising. Isn't it time we took a second look at who we've allied ourselves with? Isn't it time we considered what actions we could take to convince the government of Israel to come to the table and negotiate a just peace for all?? Stop sending them the weapons of mass destruction.......made in the west........and they might be more willing to negotiate. The worst of this horror for me is that western weapons are playing such a large part in the destruction of the region. We're not looking good in Canada, the United States. the UK or Europe. But its not just been this last year that Israel gets to violate international law with impunity....her extra judicial killings and acts of Terror go back to 1948. Many of us know that now. Why does the CBC pretend ignorance of the full history?? It shames us. We need more robust coverage...it might bring back your supporters and help to defeat Canadians fascists who want to shut you down.

I think it would be wonderful if Canadians could send feedback. I've been a supporter of Public Broadcasting all my life.......but recently, the difficulty getting through to anyone with a comment or question makes me sick to my stomach. CBC is unreachable......but you can read pages of useless information about how to choose from a bunch of options that have 0 to do with why you're trying to comment. Your salaries are paid with my tax dollars...and I've always been in favour of that. But in the last few years, much of your reporting is as thin as the private stations, often identical to the private stations........and the public's reactions don't seem to matter........you've erected so much bland and useless advice between yourselves and your audience. When PP gets in and you're all sacked I'll grieve. But not half as much as I once expected to.
