Though I enjoyed this documentary, what was missing for me was more information on what the participants actually ate, and how that may have differed from what they were eating before (beyond cutting out meat for those eating vegan).
For the first 4 weeks of this experiment, the food was supplied to each twin. Someone on the omnivore diet may still have been eating healthier than before this experiment began. There really should have been more information about what food people were given, the quantity of food, and how much of a change that may have been for the participants.
As other reviewers have pointed out, the makers of this film clearly had an agenda as they introduced the environmental hazards that accompany meat production. And though I found that interesting, the publicity that I found on this documentary really pushed the changing of one’s diet and the effect that has on one’s health - which is why I tuned in, and I would have liked to have seen more detail on that.
That being said, I’m sure we could all benefit from eating more plants, both for our own health and for environmental purposes.
