Brilliant acting, scary at times, gets on your nerves at times, beautiful screen-play... Thumbs up. People will argue and I won't contest - but it's a dark movie portraying the desperate & poor people choosing a negative personality as their leader - so the story telling and momentum building is odd. Even though it sounds odd - but Joker became the face for the then distressed and it took place at a difficult situation, during difficult times. From a place far away - Heath (Ledger) would be happy seeing his prodigy! Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker in Todd Phillips's film - it's a spectacular piece of art!
