The movie leaves a lot to be desired for! Yes! Women cuss or drink...but this cannot be their life's purpose. Four women...unsure of where their life is leading them...go on living (enjoying to the brims). However, the ultimate purpose in their life does not move away from stereotypical notions....SHAADI...Yes!! it is an important milestone...but not the ultimate!!
A beautiful successful lawyer (read Sonam Kapoor, who looked as if she would burst into tears if the police do not do as she says) is so immature and cannot hold on her own!! This only gives words to those who say, "I told you so". She lives with her nagging mum (the epitome of individuality Neena Gupta) who does not take into account her daughter's career and give her some space.
An independent..perhaps working Kareena Kapoor...who remains perplexed and confused and perhaps wants to be anywhere but there in the film.
The charachter of Swara Bhaskar perplexes the audience...a spoilt brat?? But her husband leaves because she helped herself to sexual gratification....How lame can one get?? It would have been so promising, if her charachter would have been shown as someone who stands on her own in the world and does not hide behind the bottle. She has supportive rich parents and why can the girls not add to their wealth than diminish it...
Meera or Shikha Talsania too does not have anything in her character to hold...
All in all...one just wishes that all female team would have delievered something more strong....
