I have always loved the stage show of cats, and I couldn't wait for the movie. I was not disappointed. It had a few extra details than the stage show, for instance why McCavity kidnapped Old Deuteronomy, I'm just glad that I ignored the critics (I usually do)because I would have missed a movie I enjoyed very much. And as far as the plot, that's in the songs, since it was written as an opera (no spoken dialog) .
