The main problem with the movie is that it is presented as a TV show about a screenplay about a small town.
I spent the whole movie waiting on how this would be justified and contributed to the narrative. Well, it doesn’t. The meta layers don’t add anything at all.
It is a shallow Hollywood cliche on the production process that takes away precious time from the main narrative, leaving it handicapped.
