I don’t understand the bad reviews. I just watched this movie and thought it was phenomenal. I loved the first Nun movie and the whole conjuring universe as well. Which honestly I think the nun is my favorite out of all of them. But who knows, maybe my opinion is backwards because I thought the movie Smile was horrible and not scary at all when it seems like a majority of people felt the opposite.
I will say, I felt that the overall storyline was weak but it seemed that most of the energy was put into continuous scary scenes and sequences….which if I’m watching a scary movie I’m really not that concerned about it having a phenomenal storyline, I watch it because I want to be scared. I also felt that the CGI/practical effects were well done ESPECIALLY in comparison to the cgi trash marvel has been pumping out.
I watch a lot of scary movies and am not one who usually jumps or screams, but this movie really got me. I felt like it was totally worth the money and I don’t really understand why people are bashing it so hard.
(Edit: this movie made me scared of the dark and that has not happened to me in YEARS)
