Arguably, this is the best movie of its kind ever produced. Period. On par with DAS BOAT, the narrative is superb, the acting very good, and, of course, one of the most uplifting tales for the Russian people of that era. I would never have seen this movie had it not been recommended by a German friend of mine (as viewed on Amazon Prime). Despite the difference in her nationality and the Russians, she applauded this fictional victory; at least, I was told it was not a true story per se but certainly the tank and the crews of this model were heroic given every respect.
