I finished this book moments ago. Upon wiping my eyes and blowing my nose I immediately began writing this review. As a lover of WWII era books, I have read my fair share. I couldn’t put The Nightingale down. You will become so invested in Kristin Hannah’s characters that I challenge you not to weep at the end. Wonderfully written. This story is about so much more than the war. Best book I’ve read in years and I am an avid reader. Do yourself a favor and read this book!
