The cast is amazing but the writing is absolutely terrible. It’s essentially another remake of seven samurai.. or magnificent seven but set in a galactic scale. The characters are interesting and unique, but you never really get a chance to experience them, with the exception of their ten minute scene. The dialogue and story are trite and predictable and it prefers action sequences over character development. The preview had me intrigued, but the 6th grade writing left me bored.

This can be a confusing show, if this is the only medium that you’ve encountered the Witcher. The episodes aren’t chronological, but are a supremely accurate portrayal of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel “the last wish”, a collection of short stories and reimagined fairy tales revolving around Geralt, yennifer and Ciri. This is ground work, supremely laid, for the larger story to come. I hope the show doesn’t get cancelled before the threads can get tied together. As a fan of the games and the books, you will understand and be rewarded in time. Also Henry Cavill &”$@ing kills it as Geralt of Rivia... I was skeptical when I read the original casting, but I couldn’t imagine anyone else as Geralt now! Fantastic job Henry!!!
